The BC122 switching is a high-efficiency battery charger (without cooling fan) for lead, gel, lithium and AGM batteries.
Also power supply.
The BC122 from AL-KO VTE eliminates the noise problem at the root: its innovative design and latest-generation components allow charging from the 230V mains at 22A without the need for forced ventilation, thus completely eliminating any operating noise.
Strengths:
Batteries must have a nominal voltage of 12V and a capacity adequate for the battery charger current (check the compatibility of the maximum charging current with the technical data sheet of the battery you intend to connect for use). The BC122 also functions as a power supply.
If the battery is present and it is powered by mains voltage, the BC122 functions as a battery charger (if the lithium battery algorithm has been selected, the BC122 functions as a battery charger even if it does not detect the battery when switched on).
Using the dip switch you can choose the charging algorithm depending on the type of battery. When switched on, the green LED flashes to indicate which charging algorithm has been selected via the dip switches.
The charger uses a combination of Constant Current and Constant Voltage charging, this allows to significantly reduce the charging time and not to damage the batteries even if the battery charger is permanently connected to the 230V mains.
When a load is inserted, the battery charger immediately supplies the necessary current, preventing the battery from discharging (this is true if the load current is less than the maximum current that the battery charger can supply; otherwise, the battery will still discharge with a current equal to the difference: (ILOAD - ICHARGE BATTERY). A temperature probe can be connected to the battery charger (to be placed on the battery), to adapt the selected charging algorithm to the battery temperature.
