Acquatravel ideally was born in 2003, when its founder Fabio Viviani had the idea of using water treatment technology for campers and boats as well as for civilian homes.
From 2003 to 2005 they were years of study and from 2005 the prototyping phase of the debacterising project with 12 volt UV-C lamps and activated carbon began. With the first trade fair in the sector, a good interest was glimpsed from the public and professionals, so production began.
During the years of crisis, the company was sold in 2011, but in September 2013 it was bought back by Fabio himself with the help of Donata Donati, who in 2014 became its sole director.
Since that September, Acquatravel has had an exponential development, creating products aimed at treating water, from loading it into the tanks to the abatement of bacterial colonies, as well as cleaning the drinking water distribution systems.

Leader in the water treatment sector for vehicles on the move, in May 2014 ACQUATRAVEL was hired by the NGO Vento di Terra in Rozzano (Milan) to develop a drinking water treatment project for Syrian refugee camps in Jordan, supplying more than 121 KIT SURVIVOR and still today lends its assistance to war evacuees.
To date, the Acquatravel catalog can boast more than 26 products, all designed for water treatment, sanitation and disinfection.
In 2016 it presented the new "ANTI-LEGIONELLA and ANTI-BACTERIA" filter by patenting an exclusive method of regeneration, disinfection and sanitization of the filter itself, thus creating an "endless" or in any case long-lasting filter, abundantly exceeding the 180,000 liters dispensed and still fully functional.
