HOW THE NEIL EVAPORATIVE COOLER WORKS

The evaporative cooler collects air from outside and passes it through a filter moistened with water. Inside this filter the water evaporates and in the process absorbs the heat of the air and finally the cold air enters the cabin of the vehicle maintaining a cool environment.

Evaporative air conditioner with the innovative PRE-COOLING patent, which allows you to keep the passenger compartment cool even when the water temperature in the tank is hot.

The average water consumption is 1.5 L/h, the maximum current consumption is 4 A.

Compatible with 40 x 40 cm portholes.

A natural and low energy consumption evaporative cooler

The Evaporative Cooler is a natural air conditioner, as it works according to the evaporation principle, does not produce CO2 emissions and reduces gas emissions.

Unlike an air conditioner, an Evaporative Cooler has very low energy consumption (maximum 7 amps x hour in 12v) and connects directly to the vehicle's battery.

In this way, an evaporative air conditioner:

  • It does NOT consume fuel
  • It is VERY easy to install.
  • Can be used when the vehicle is stationary
  • It can be used with the engine off

Where are Neil humidifiers most effective?

Humidifiers are more efficient in hot, dry climates. This is because the evaporator incorporates moisture into the air and can thus cool (in dry climates it can incorporate more moisture and therefore cool more). In climates with high humidity, performance drops significantly.

How does a Neil humidifier work?

water pump is located in a water tank inside the vehicle. This pump sends water to the pre-cooling chamber (located inside the Evaporator) when needed. When the pre-cooling chamber is full, a second water pump begins to spray the wet filter until it is saturated with water.

A powerful fan forces hot, dry outside air to pass through the wet filter. As the outside air passes through the filter, it absorbs moisture, filters, purifies and lowers its temperature. The filtered, cooler air enters the vehicle through the air vents.

As it works by evaporation, the performance of Evaporative Cooler will depend on the relative humidity of the environment and the outside temperature. The higher the temperature and the lower the humidity, the better the performance of Evaporative Cooler.

Pre-Cooling System

The Neil roof evaporative cooler works on the principle of evaporation. Evaporative Cooler, Parking Cooler or Air Conditioning?
