The VANWOOD is an evaporative cooler that has been designed to be useful and bring well-being all year round and in any situation: inside or outside our camper.

Technical Features:

Its operating voltage is 12 Vdc on cigarette lighter socket and an absorption of only 3 Ampere max.

The nominal power is 36 Watts and the built-in tank where the water is placed has a capacity of 0.5 litres.

With this capacity you have an autonomy of about 4/5 hours

Portable Function

This device is an evaporative cooler and works with water, it is not an air conditioner and does not lower the room temperature but it exerts its action on people provided that they are directly reached by the flow of fresh air coming out of the vents.

The maximum working distance of the machine is approximately 2 metres from the air outlet vents and may vary depending on the current thermal conditions.

When using the appliance inside the vehicle, it is advisable to leave an open path for the exchange of internal air with the outside.

GENERAL OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Do not block the side air vents.

Do not operate the cooler with the air vents closed.

Maintain a regular filter maintenance schedule.

The cooler has been designed and manufactured to function correctly in environments with temperatures above +25°C and with relative humidity below 90%.

At temperatures below +25°C the cooler does not have the environmental thermal conditions necessary to develop its beneficial effect.

The autonomy of the tank depends on the relative humidity level of the environment, the drier the environment, the better the performance of the machine, with consequent higher water consumption and decreased autonomy of the tank.

Vice versa in conditions of high relative humidity of the environment.

DESCRIPTION OF THE APPLIANCE

To check or replace the evaporative filter, you must turn off the machine and disconnect the power cable, then unscrew the four black pins on the front of the machine in an anti-clockwise direction, removing the front panel itself. Once the filter has been replaced, put the front panel back in place and screw the four black pins clockwise without forcing them too tightly.

If the filter is inserted in a different orientation, water leaks may occur.

The filter must be inserted into the black case in a specific orientation.

MACHINE STATUS INDICATIONS AND WARNINGS VIA MULTICOLOURED LEDS

Indication of regular operation in active machine status – green LED with fixed/intermittent light

With the switch in the on state and the fan adjustment potentiometer in the zero position, the LED will show a fixed green light and the pump will not deliver water to the sprayers; this operating mode is regular and puts the machine in a waiting state.

By changing the position of the potentiometer, the fan will start to send air towards the outlet nozzle and the machine will present the green LED in intermittent mode if the environmental conditions require the activation of the water supply or in fixed light mode if the environmental conditions do not require the water supply.

During the active operating cycle, the correct machine status is signalled by the intermittent green LED and by the switching on of the blue LED with a single periodic pulse at regular intervals.

PERIODIC REPLACEMENT OF THE EVAPORATIVE FILTER

For replacement, it is recommended to check the condition of the filter monthly. If the colour changes from white to pale yellow, the filter is still usable. If brown dots appear, it is best to replace it.
