The Carbon-Viesa Filter, developed by ACQUATRAVEL, specialist in water treatment on board recreational vehicles, for VIESA evaporative air conditioners retains foreign substances and impurities downstream of the system and transforms limestone into aragonite supplying purified water to the HOLIDAY unit installed on the roof of the camper.
Acquatravel srl, specialist in the treatment of water on board recreational vehicles, in collaboration with Vigia Viesa Italy, distributor for Italy of the famous roof-mounted evaporative air conditioner for Holiday IIIs campers, presents "Carbon-Viesa", a new filter for the water capable of retaining particles larger than 5 microns and of transforming limestone into aragonite, so as to feed the evaporative group with water totally free from impurities and without limestone.
As many European motorhome owners know, VIESA systems cool the air introduced into the passenger compartment with a water evaporation process obtained thanks to a special patented evaporative filter made from natural materials. In order to function, they therefore draw water directly from the potable tank. VIESA has always foreseen water treatment using an antibacterial product (Calfabas).
With periodic maintenance (annual or biennial) VIESA authorized technicians clean the tank and internal elements of Holiday with a wash that also eliminates limescale deposits. In fact, if the water introduced into the circuit contains a lot of calcite (calcium carbonate), limestone formations can form on the walls of the Holiday tank, as happens in washing machines and dishwashers at home.

All those campers who use particularly calcareous water or who get their supplies from unconventional water sources where there are impurities will find this new filter particularly interesting. Carbon-Viesa, in fact, is equipped with a magnet capable of transforming calcium into aragonite, a mineral that does not form aggregations and encrustations. Another interesting feature of Carbon-Viesa is the activated carbon and coconut fiber filter capable of retaining any higher particles thus preventing sand, dust or other elements present in the potable tank from reaching the VIESA Holiday tank.
The Carbon-Viesa Filter is made up of a fabric casing (pre-filter) and the actual filter merged into a single system that optimizes space and facilitates installation. Periodic maintenance is quick and easy because it is sufficient to replace the fabric casing that contains the activated carbons.
