TRUMA GmbH
Since its foundation by Philipp Kreis in 1949, TRUMA has always offered accessories for motorhomes and caravans. In over 65 years, Truma has grown into an internationally successful company while maintaining a family business.
It all began with a gas lamp, which the founder of the company had assembled in the living room; today Truma is a supplier of systems for heating, air conditioning, water heaters, maneuvering aids and gas supply in caravans.
Since the introduction of the Truma iNet System, digital integration has also become the norm in everyday camping life and the search for innovative ideas continues every day.
TRUMA has a staff of 600 employees and 5 branches around the world. TRUMA has produced more than 6 million S heaters since 1961 and in 2015 obtained the ISO9001 certification of its quality management system.
All Truma gas appliances comply with the EC gas appliance directive. The DVGW certificate (German Water and Gas Agency) attests to the high quality of Truma heaters, water heaters, shut-off valves and gas lamps, which can therefore bear the CE mark.
1956 - The TRUMA valve
In 1956 the TRUMA valve was born, a patented valve with diaphragm seal, quick closing with one-way rotation. The TRUMA valve is universal for both compressed air and gases and many liquids; the rhomboid handle of the switch clearly shows the position of the valve. 5 years later 5,000,000 valves have already been produced.
1961 - Truma-matic
In 1961 the Truma-matic was born, the first officially recognized heater for motorhomes, which does not depend on the power supply network, is comfortable to use thanks to the piezoelectric ignition, is extremely safe thanks to the closed system and the thermoelectric ignition safety device .
2007 - TRUMA COMBI
TRUMA introduced the new camper stove to the market in 2007 which, with its even more compact dimensions, further reduced weight and the new drain valve with current-independent operation (Frost Control), replaces its predecessor Trumatic, which it was already built in 500,000 units. It was in 2007 that TRUMA founded the Italian subsidiary TRUMA ITALIA srl.
2012 - 50 years

2010 - Travel safety: the CRASH SENSOR
