PRODUCT FEATURES

The 12 VDC Planar 2D is the smallest hot air generator in the Planar series, which allows for installation in small vehicles such as VANs and similar.

Thanks to its dimensions, the Planar 2 can compete with heating systems from other brands, and thanks to the standard fixing points it can be replaced with heating systems from other brands, if the repair is expensive.

It is a low-cost alternative to the Eberspächer Airtronic D2; everything needed for installation is already included. The hole pattern corresponds to that of the well-known Eberspächer or Webasto heaters, so that it is easy to replace them without having to drill new holes in the body.

This heater is equipped with a height kit. This means that the heater reduces the injection quantity automatically and according to the ambient air pressure, so that soot formation in the combustion chamber is prevented or drastically reduced as the oxygen content in the air decreases. In proportion to the amount of oxygen in the air, the maximum output of the heating system decreases! From 2000 m onwards, approx. 5% of the output is lost per 500 m of altitude.

Hot air generators are designed to heat the driver's cabin or various other internal spaces of limited volume in vehicles at ambient temperatures down to -45 ° C.

DEVICE POWER AND OBTAINABLE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE

The internal temperature that can be obtained depends on the vehicle's cubic capacity, the desired temperature gradient (difference between outside and inside) and the conductivity coefficient of the covering with which the space to be heated is made. In case of doubt, ask for verification of the system's sizing.
