The OVP 01 surge protector protects against damage to electrical equipment caused by extreme surges in the 230V network.

The OVP 01 disconnects connected devices within 10 milliseconds from the 230V mains, rebooting takes place as soon as normal values are available.

The device is designed for applications where the risk of overvoltage or undervoltage is particularly high. Examples of such situations are lightning strikes against the power grid, power supply via generator, poor electrical installations or use abroad.

The surge protection device OVP 01 A must be installed between the power supply and the Schaudt equipment to be protected. In recreational vehicles, this is the 12 V charger system (EBL...), the 12 V power supply (CSV...) or an additional charger (LAS...).
