A solar charger collects energy from solar panels and stores it in batteries. Using the latest and fastest technology, SmartSolar maximizes this energy harvest and intelligently controls it to achieve a full charge in the shortest possible time. SmartSolar maintains the health of your battery and extends its lifespan.

The SmartSolar charge controller is capable of charging even a deeply discharged battery. It can operate with a battery voltage as low as 0 volts, as long as the cells are not permanently sulfated or otherwise damaged.

By constantly monitoring the voltage and current output from solar (PV) panels, MPPT technology ensures that every drop of available energy is drawn from the panels and extracted for storage.

Remote monitoring and control

Control and monitor the full functionality of your SmartSolar MPPT charger with built-in Bluetooth remotely by pairing it with your smartphone or other device via VictronConnect. If your installation is connected to the internet, you can access the full power of your MPPT anytime, anywhere via the Victron Remote Management Portal (VRM); both services are free of charge. For remote installations, even if there is no internet connection or cell phone signal nearby, you can monitor the MPPT via Bluetooth pairing with a LoRaWAN (long-range wide area network) device, available as an option.

Load output

The Smart Load Output feature prevents damage caused by “dead” batteries. batteries. You can set the voltage at which SmartSolar will turn off a load, thus preventing over-discharging of the batteries. Here’s the trick: SmartSolar tries to charge the batteries to 100% every day. If that’s not possible, for example due to bad weather, it increases the shutdown voltage every day until it does. We call this feature BatteryLife because it maintains the health of the battery and prolongs its life.
