ATTENTION: The original RIMOR red XA00054402 screen prints are no longer available, only the white XA000052521 ones as shown in the attached image. The functions are the same. Perfectly interchangeable.
The distributed intelligence system discussed in this manual is a modern and completely innovative electrical system. The key feature that differentiates this system from traditional systems is the ability to transmit data over a dedicated cable called a "bus."
The data in question are those relating to the vehicle's functional parameters, such as battery voltage, or the level of a tank, or some data for diagnosing the correct functioning of all on-board devices.
The system is open, meaning it allows you to customize the vehicle according to your needs.
By installing some optional “kits”, you can easily and quickly add new features that are fully integrated into the system.
Since the structure of this type of system is different from the traditional one, a brief description of its operating principles is necessary to provide the end user with the knowledge to fully exploit its potential.
The control panel, also called control unit, is a special node which is able to display the information it exchanges via the bus in a way that is understandable to the user.
Through this node, it is possible to know the operating status of the various components of the camper van, and to give the on or off commands to certain other nodes.
