Combined heating with integrated electric heating elements
The Combi 4 E combines all the advantages of the Combi 4 with those of electric heating.
It differs from the Combi 4 in the integrated electric heating elements, which allow you to use the heating on the campsite with the 12 V power supply, thus saving the on-board battery.
With integrated heating rods for additional electrical operation
Heats the vehicle and water particularly quickly and consumes little energy
The heating is gas-powered for use in stand-alone mode, in electric mode when camping and in mixed operation when the outside temperature is very low.
In summer, the Combi 4 E obviously only heats the water.

Like all Combi models, the Combi 4 E combines heating and hot water functions in a single appliance.
In just a few minutes, it spreads pleasant heat into the vehicle, while also heating the water needed for washing dishes or taking a shower.
And here's the best part: you only need to install one device in your motorhome or caravan, saving weight and space because, unlike the S models, it doesn't obstruct the passage inside the vehicle.
Combi can be used in heating mode even if the water tank is empty
With the Truma Combi and VarioHeat heaters, you can also warm up while driving.

The LCD control unit of the Truma Combi (1) starts the heating system and sets the desired temperature for heating and hot water.
The heater is connected to the vehicle's gas supply via the gas connection (2).
The gas supply to the heating system is regulated by the solenoid valve (3).
The required combustion air enters the appliance via the outer pipe of the flue gas/combined flue gas chimney (4) and is supplied to the gas burner (6) via the combustion air fan (5).
The gas burner, which is equipped with two glow plugs (7) and a glow plug, ignites the gas and air mixture in the burner chamber (8).
The hot flue gas is diverted onto the sheet metal baffle of the firebox tube (9) at the end of the burner chamber and flows back between the burner firebox tube and the inner wall of the heat exchanger.
The fumes are then discharged into the open through the chimney (4).
The recirculation fan (10) transports the air to be heated inside the appliance, which flows along the ribs of the heat exchanger (11), whose large transmission surface ensures optimum heat transfer.
The heat exchanger also contains additional heating elements (12) with 1800 watts, which can be used to heat water and/or air as an alternative to gas or in mixed operation.
Finally, the hot air is diffused into the vehicle by four special outlets (13).
The fresh water is stored in the 10-litre stainless steel water tank (14) and is heated by the heat given off by the heat exchanger (11).
The eccentric shape of the water tank gives rise to a "water cylinder" that ensures optimal mixing of the water and better temperature stratification.
The hot water connection hose (15) connects the Truma Combi to the hot water pipes in the bathroom and kitchen.
Cold water is pumped from the fresh water tank through the cold water connection pipe (16).
The room temperature sensor (17) in the vehicle measures the air temperature in the vehicle.
The water temperature is also measured by an internal temperature sensor.
Before reaching the desired heating and water temperature, the appliance already reduces the heating capacity.
When the set temperature is reached, the burner switches off.
If the water and heating temperature falls below the set values, the Truma Combi switches on automatically again to heat the air and water (winter operation).
In summer operation, the water can be heated independently of the heating.
The HDF thermal membrane (18) ensures good insulation of the Truma Combi heating.
The water tank should be sterilized and descaled regularly.
All cleaning products commercially available in specialist camping shops are suitable for cleaning, sterilisation and care.
To descale the water tank, you can use commercially available descaling products, vinegar essence or citric acid.
Pour descaling or cleaning products in the recommended mixing ratio into the water tank through the water outlet and allow them to take effect.
Plug in the water tank and rinse thoroughly with clean water.
