The BC222 by AL-KO VTE eliminates the problem of noise at the root: its innovative design and the latest generation components allow charging from the mains at 230V to 22A without the need for forced ventilation, thus completely eliminating any operating noise.

The batteries must have a nominal voltage of 12V and a capacity adequate to the current of the battery charger (check the compatibility of the maximum charging current with the technical data sheet of the battery you intend to connect for use). The BC222 also functions as a power supply.
If the battery is present and it is supplied with mains voltage, the BC222 works as a battery charger (if the lithium battery algorithm has been selected, the BC122 works as a battery charger even if it does not detect the battery when powered on).
Via the dip switch you can choose the charging algorithm depending on the type of battery. When the power is switched on, the green LED flashes to indicate which charging algorithm has been selected through the dip switches.
The charger uses a combination of Constant Current and Constant Voltage charging, this allows you to significantly reduce the charging time and not damage the batteries even if the charger is permanently connected to the 230V mains.
When a load is inserted, the battery charger immediately provides the necessary current, preventing the battery from discharging (this is true if the load current is less than the maximum current that can be delivered by the battery charger, otherwise the battery will still discharge with a current equal to the difference: (ILOAD - ICHARGER BATTERIES). A temperature probe (to be placed on the battery) can be connected to the battery charger, to adapt the selected charging algorithm to the battery temperature.
