Very easy to apply
Applicable even at low temperatures
Wide operating temperature
Jobs
Advantages
SUBSTRATE / SUPPORT PREPARATION
The substrate must be sound, sound, clean, dry and free from any loose or contaminating material that could compromise the adhesion of the adhesive/sealant. The substrate must be of sufficient strength to handle the stresses induced by the tape during movement. Removal techniques such as brushing, abrasion, sanding or other suitable mechanical means may be used. All dust, loose and friable material must be completely removed from all surfaces prior to the application of any activator, primer or tape.
Sika® MultiSeal BT generally has good adhesion without primers/activators on most dry, clean and sound substrates. For optimum application follow the following procedures:
Non-porous substrates
Metals, plastics, coated surfaces and glazed tiles must be cleaned and pre-treated with Sika®Aktivator-205 using a clean cloth. Wait at least 15 min (max. 6 hours) before sealing.
Porous substrates
Concrete, aerated concrete and cement plasters, mortars, bricks, etc. can be heated to increase adhesion.
CLEANING OF TOOLS
Clean all tools and application equipment immediately after use with solvent. Once cured, cured material can only be removed mechanically.
