LTE surveillance camera approved for automotive use.

The BomaView device is a video surveillance system with remote transmission of images via LTE cellular network activated through external inputs (e.g. alarms or sensors).

The system is characterized by a very low standby consumption and ECE E8-10R certified for automotive installations. The system can be powered from 12V to 24V and is equipped with two input signals (one active high and one active low) to activate the video stream.

The system consists of a base unit and a camera unit connected by an 8-pole cable 2 meters long. The cable is used to power the camera unit and to communicate the service information necessary to create a wireless connection on the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi band.

The video stream is requested from the base unit to the camera. A point-to-point Wi-Fi connection is then generated between the base and the camera which begins to send images wirelessly to the base. At the same time, the base uses a GSM-LTE module to connect to the telephone operator's access point and open an HTTPS connection with a proprietary cloud server.

The images are then sent to the cloud server which takes care of:

• Store the first 256 frames of each transmission.

• Live stream images from the BomaView system for five minutes.

• Send a PUSH signal to the mobile app of the user who registered the device, indicating the presence of a new video stream.

To work properly, the device requires a SIM card in MICRO format. The phone plan must be ACTIVE and allow the reception and sending of SMS as well as allow a data connection over LTE protocol.
