HEOSafe® VAN internal lock for sliding doors Fiat Ducato 250 / 290 from 2006 - 1763

Instructions for Use

• to lock the sliding door, push the knob forward. the door is locked with HEOsafe.
• to unlock and also to open the sliding door, push the knob backwards.

Assembly instructions:

1.                 Screw in and remove the inner rotary knob of the sliding door (picture 1). Replace it with the HEOSafe® rotary knob (image 2a and image 2b).

2.                 Screw in the lock's safety screw (picture 3) and replace it with the supplied cheese head screw (picture 4). Around the lock, under the plastic cover, place and press the rubber seal (image 5).

3.                 Push and place the lock on the frame, pushing the gasket (in the open position) so that the knob lever rests on the red spacer of the lock and the cheese head of the new screw fits inside without touching the hoops or the lever ( image 6a; 6b). If necessary, adjust the screw.

4.                 For the locking legs, mark the area from the plastic cover on the pillar (image 7a; 7b) and drill a hole with a Ø 12 mm reaming bit or draw only a semicircle (image 8). Place the lock part and fix it, then close the sliding door carefully.

5.                 The rotary knob and cheese head screw should not interfere with the lock, they should fit. If necessary, adjust the locking and repositioning (figure 6a; 6b).

6.                 Push the knob forward to verify that the lock is operational.

7.                 If everything is OK, open the sliding door, on the B-pillar, draw or mark the fixing holes for the lock (picture 9a; picture 9b), drill a hole with a Ø 3.2 mm reaming bit (picture 10) and fix complete the lock using the supplied self-drilling screws (grease the screws). Fix it (image 11a; 11b).

8.                 Recheck that the lock is operational.

9.                 Also, fix the plastic cover using two screws. It is recommended to drill the pre-holes with a Ø 2 mm drill (image 12a; 12b).

10.             Tighten the cheese head screws so that there is about a 2mm gap between the lever and the bottom of the screw (image 13).

11.             Finally, fix the screw and the counter-attack fix the nut (image 14).

12.             If on the B-pillar, there is a sidebar of a bug screen fitted, then you can fix the lock on this bar or you can cut the indicated lines of the lock from the frame.

13.             Before proceeding with this assembly, verify that this option is possible.
