CLEAN EVOLUTION MACERATOR 12VDC for THETFORD C400/500 cistern (excluding toilet cistern)

Clean Evolution was born from the need to have a device capable of facilitating the emptying of the toilet cassette supplied in campers and caravans, directly from inside the vehicle, rather than manually emptying it.

Clean Evolution has been specifically designed for use in combination with all toilet cisterns in circulation, both made by Thetford and Dometic. The device was created using a macerator pump that can be installed directly on the cistern to replace the original manual drain union. The toilet cistern is not modified.

The motor is very small in size with powerful magnets and construction technologies that allow high power with low absorption. The entire device is made with entirely Made in Italy components. The kit was designed to carry out different types of installation, including DIY.

The kit consists of:

  • 12VDC macerator body
  • 3m of flexible drain hose, diameter 2.5cm
  • 30 mm galvanized biwire cable tie
  • white teflon roll
  • adhesive sponge button
  • PVC bend 2 pieces 30 mm
  • Electrical connection cable kit complete with 30A relay and on/off radio control
  • instruction booklet

TECHNICAL FEATURES

  • self-priming, it has 3m of total head, 1.2 meters of vertical lift
  • flow rate of 40L/minute

COMPONENT ASSEMBLY (PUMP-DISPENSER)

Disassemble the drain fitting installed on your cistern, turn it approximately 210 degrees until you find the extraction point; once the original union has been removed, insert and position the suction system and macerator pump. Rotate the pump alone to adapt the orientation of its discharge to your space needs.

Place the adhesive sponge button under the motor and fix it in the cassette, to ensure there are no vibrations. In case of limited space between the cistern and the door, it is advisable to place the 25 mm drain hose supplied as close as possible to the wall, turning the pump outlet (inlet) towards the inside.

Remove the handle positioned on the box by unscrewing the two screws located under the cover. The float inside the box is made specifically for each Thetford C3/C200/C250/C400/500 and Dometic model with various inclinations and lengths.

MACERATOR ACTION AND DISGREGATION TIMES

Use specific paper for campers, alternatively high quality domestic paper.

It is advisable, although not essential, to use a disintegrant to give greater speed in macerating the sewage present in the box and to avoid bad smells. Discharge times are dictated by a time that is not immediate since the last defecation.

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

The macerator pump is made up of two parts, the shredder and the nautical type impeller pump, the shredder is placed before the pump. It has been designed for the organic compound only, therefore refrain from throwing objects such as: vaginal swabs, panty liners, cotton swabs, coated paper or paper not suitable for disintegration, etc. into the box.

It is therefore recommended to train your crew for this purpose. If small plastic objects are thrown into the toilet, the pump may block.

If the pump stops for the causes described above, proceed as indicated below. let's get a nylon bag (it can be useful if the float tube is very dirty) and remove the entire union from the box, bag only the float tube, proceed by unscrewing it and separate the pump from the elbow, once you have just the pump in your hand, check whether no entry orifice

there is some object blocking the grinding impeller, the object can be removed with simple tweezers, but if the problem is deeper, in the impeller chamber, it will be necessary to unscrew the four screws of the cap. Be careful when doing this operation, because once removed for cleaning, the internal brass part must be put back as it was originally positioned.

If this rule is not respected, the macerator pump will no longer be able to suck as before.
